Wow! So it's been a while hasn't it?! I think the last time we spoke it was 2020, so literally last year...

If you live in the UK, then you'll know that we've been in another lockdown for around 3 and a half months now. We got the update from our Prime Minister just before Christmas, and although it was tough news to swallow, we've all pulled together and soon will start being able to do some of the things we've craved for so long... like getting a haircut!

I've been meaning to write a blog for a while now, as I've so many makeup updates for you all, but work has been extremely busy for me since day 1 of 2021, and time just seems to have flown by! However, I'm here now and promise I'll try not to let it be as long next time... I miss connecting with you all and sharing all my latest beauty finds :)

So, without further ado, I want to introduce you all to a couple of new eyeliners that have made their way permanently into my makeup bag.

As you might be able to tell from the title of this blog and the picture below, these eyeliners are a little different for me. I'm trying to push myself out of my comfort zone in 2021, and embrace trying new things. If you never try, you'll never know!

Barry M Eyeliner. Pink Eyeliner. Blue Eyeliner

These Hi Vis Barry M eyeliners are in the shades Riot (pink shade) and Caution (blue shade).

They're extremely pigmented and easy to apply, and for £3.99 I feel are an absolute bargain!

You can purchase Barry M products at many high street retailers such as Boot and Superdrug, but I bought mine online at ASOS.

One of the things I love so much about these eyeliners, is that you don't have to spend ages applying eyeshadow beforehand. Just wearing either the pink or blue eyeliner on it's own, with a bit of mascara (or strip lashes), gives an amazing finish.

Both colours are vibrant and definitely eye catching. I'd probably look to wear them for a night out drinking cocktails with the girls, or a date night dinner somewhere special. I'd also look to co-ordinate my outfit with the eyeliner, as it would be easy to clash the colours! You can see below the finished look using the Riot (pink shade) eyeliner. I was worried it wouldn't go well with brown eyes, but I was pretty happy with the overall results.

Pink eyeliner. Makeup. Makeup Ideas.

Another thing to note about these eyeliners is that they're waterproof, which is a bonus if you want to wear these vibrant colours in the hot summer months. They'd also be a great addition to your holiday makeup bag, as and when we're allowed to go abroad again... which hopefully won't be too long!

Out of the two colours, I've found myself reaching for the Caution (blue shade) more. I wore it a lot at weekends during the beginning of the year. One weekend in January we had some snow, and thought it was really fitting wearing this blue eyeliner, it make me feel like Elsa from Frozen (I wish!)

I feel the blue also really compliments brown eyes and my next step is to try some blue mascara too. I'm not sure how I feel about mascara that isn't black, but as I'm going to continue pushing myself out my comfort zone this year I'm going to give it a try and I'll report back my findings.

For now, I'll wish you all a lovely rest of your weekend. Please do let me know what you think of the pink and blue eyeliner in this blog. Have you ever tried a different colour eyeliner before? And if so, what colour and did you like it?

If you haven't tried yet, then what are you waiting for?! Remember, If you don't try, you'll never know.

Speak soon everyone :)

Love,

Jesse Joy Beauty xx
