It's an "add to basket" kinda day!

If you follow me on Instagram, then you'll know that last week I cheered myself up by doing a little retail therapy... the makeup kind!

I'm one of those people that often add lots of items to my basket, but then realise that I don't really need them, I just want them... and they are two very different things! So, I then feel guilty and end up emptying my basket and putting them into my saved items instead.

However, Thursday evening was not a guilty type of evening. Instead of emptying my basket, I went to the checkout instead. I know, I'm literally living life on the edge!

You might be asking yourselves... did the guilty feeling come after completing the purchase? And the answer to that question is a big fat NO! Sometimes you just have to treat yourself (maybe I do this a little too often!), but if you work hard, and you have some pennies to spare, then every now and again a little treat to put a smile on your face doesn't hurt.

I did purchase quite a few items, 4 in total. However, I won't be going through everything I got today, I want to focus this blog on one item in particular.

As you may know from a previous blog post, I have little, to no eyebrows! Well, I do, but they are very sparse and very light. Unfortunately I'm not blessed with dark bushy brows, so every morning I have to invest time into creating them into a masterpiece. I'll be honest, my brows are what take the most time every morning, which is why I've considered microblading, much to my mums concern... "but Jessica, what if they make a mistake and you're tattooed for life, it's on your face, be careful Jessica, please don't get it done Jessica", ha you get the gist!

I'll be honest, I am an absolute wimp (at most things in life!), so as much as I want to try microblading, I think my mum can rest easy knowing that I'll probably never be able to go through with it. That's why over the years, I've tried to find a good makeup alternative to giving my brows life.

For a long time I was using a MAC brow pencil, and the Urban Decay brow blade, which I still love BUT, that's before I was introduced to the Iconic London Sculpt and Boost Eyebrow Cushion. The above picture showcases this magical compact. Not only is the gold packaging beautiful, this product also comes with its own spoolie and angled brush.

Before I made the purchase, I read many reviews and watched a lot of YouTube tutorials. Literally every review was raving about the product. It looked so easy to apply, and the colour transfer was amazing! I was sold... and it ended up being the first product I added to my basket Thursday evening.

This Iconic London Eyebrow Cushion retails at £24.00 and comes in 4 different shades; Cool Fair, Fair, Medium and Deep. I got the shade Medium, which was the perfect choice for me. The great thing about this product is that even within the Medium compact, you get two different shades. One side of the cushion is slightly lighter than the other. This is great if you want to make the tail of your brow darker, and the front of your brow lighter.

The application of this product is SO easy. I cannot stress enough how good the colour transfer is. You only need to press lightly and a little of this product goes a very long way. Once you apply the product to your brow, you have quite a lot of time to move and play with it until it dries. Then, once it does dry, it really does not budge. It's absolutely perfect for a hot day, or if you like to exercise. No amount of water, sweat or heat will make this product shift - I've found it only really comes off with a makeup wipe.

The above picture shows off the finished look. Just another thing to note here, it took me half the amount of time to create my brows with this product, compared to an eyebrow pencil. Not only do I love the look of the brows, but I also love the time I'll be getting back every morning!

If you're like me, and believe a brow really has the power to change the look of your face, then you will take my advice and invest in this product. You honestly will not regret it.
