Today's blog is going to be a little different, which is a big thing for me, seeing as I'm a creature of habit!

I usually post about makeup and hair, but today I wanted to open a different door... a wardrobe door in fact... and go through some of my favourite outfits. (Yes, I thought I was being clever here with my wording, so just go with me on it!)

As friends and family can vouch for, I LOVE clothes. Online shopping is literally my happy place. I often scroll through ASOS on a weekly basis placing so many items on to my wish list. Now, not as many as I'd like make it to the checkout, but I do often pick up some great pieces online and thought I'd share some with you.

To ensure this post doesn't doesn't last an eternity, I've decided to start by showcasing some of the outfits I've worn for one of my favourite activities in life... Afternoon Tea. Yes, I know, how very British of me, but I really do love a good Afternoon Tea.

I've got quite a lot of outfit pictures to get through (what a surprise), so I've decided the best approach will be to a description next to each outfit post. All of the outfits listed in this post were purchased online, I wasn't joking when I said I loved online shopping.

Right, lots to get through, so let's get started!

Afternoon Tea at the Crazy Bear, Beaconsfield

Afternoon Tea at the Crazy Bear

This pretty summer dress was my outfit of choice for a very recent Afternoon Tea at the Crazy Bear in Beaconsfield.

As the weather was quite warm, I opted for a dress.

This polka dot dress was from prettylittlething and I'm wearing a size 10.

The fit is very flattering and the material is stretchy, so it doesn't feel too tight, perfect for when you want to eat lots of scones and cakes!

I paired this outfit with some gladiator sandals from Monsoon Accessorize.

Here, I'm standing on the viewing platform 152 stories high on the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The views were honestly breathtaking.

The weather was very warm, so I decided to wear a high waisted midi skirt (a key staple in my wardrobe), and a cotton cropped t-shirt.

Both items of clothing were online from ASOS, including the headband which is extremely pretty and has hand stitched pearls on it. Ohh errr very fancy!

Afternoon tea, petite fashion, fashion blogger, great fosters, ascot, midi dress, ootd
Afternoon Tea at the Royal Berkshire, Ascot

Afternoon Tea at the Royal Berkshire

Another summer Afternoon Tea in the UK. This time at the Royal Berkshire hotel in Ascot.

Another warm day, meant another pretty dress. This dress is from Hollister and has been a firm summer favourite of mine for 3 years.

It's very lightweight and the material is so soft. I love that it's an off the shoulder style, it adds something just a little more special to the whole look.

Flower headband is from Monsoon Accessorize, as well as my trusty sandals!

Afternoon tea, girly catch up
Afternoon Tea at the Great Fosters, Egham

Afternoon tea at Great Fosters

This outfit has to be one of my favourites so far!

The tutu skirt I'm wearing is from SilkFred, and takes me back to my ballet school years. As this is a high waisted skirt, I teamed it with a cropped t-shirt, the same as I wore to the Burj Khalifa.

My flower headband is from Claire's Accessories (who says it's just for kids hey?!), and my sandals are from ASOS.

You cannot quite see in this picture, but they have a thick block heel, which makes them so easy to walk in.

Afternoon Tea at The Ivy, Brighton

Afternoon Tea at The Ivy

Even though Afternoon Tea's are more a summer thing, I do still venture out in the autumn and winter too.

This picture was taken at The Ivy in Brighton, enjoying a nice glass of prosecco.

The dress I'm wearing here is from River Island and I paired it up with a black roll neck from New Look. I literally live in black roll neck tops in the colder month, I feel you can really dress them up and down.

The hat (which I love), is again from Monsoon Accessorize.

Afternon tea sketch london, birthday day out
Afternoon Tea at Sketch, London

Afternoon Tea at Sketch

Now we come to the last outfit picture.

This Afternoon Tea was for my birthday last year, and was at Sketch in London. This is probably the most beautiful venue I've ever been to for Afternoon Tea, they even had a harpist!

Here, I'm wearing a pinafore dress and black roll neck from New Look. You're probably realising by now, that in the colder months I love to pair a black roll neck with a dress, it's one of my favourite outfit choices.

I'm also wearing some little brown ankle boots, which I bought from Dorothy Perkins.

I feel like I could add about 20 more outfit pictures to this post, (I've been to a lot of Afternoon Tea's in my time), but I feel this handful of pictures is enough for now...

You can probably tell from the above, that in the summer, I love a pretty dress or a high waisted skirt combo. I also love to wear pretty headbands and my gladiator sandals.

In the autumn/winter months I lean more towards a black roll neck under a pretty pinafore dress. I really like check/tartan patterns and dresses with belts to cinch in your waist a little. I often team this look with a pair of black opaque tights and heeled ankle boots.

I really hope you've liked this post. If you have enjoyed me rambling on about my favourite outfit choices and would like to see more in the future, then please do let me know in the comments section below.

That's all for this week, look forward to speaking with you all again next weekend and remember; 'Life isn't perfect, but your outfit can be!'.

Love,

Jesse Joy xx
